These substations flawlessly execute the transformation, distribution, transmission, measurement, and compensation of electrical energy, while seamlessly integrating system control, protection, and communication functions. Typically, the substation comprises three meticulously engineered compartments: the high voltage compartment, equipped with state-of-the-art high/medium voltage switchgear like ring main units and gas insulated switchgear, with a maximum rated voltage of up to 40.5kV; the low voltage compartment; and the transformer compartment, containing either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer.
