Typically, the substation features three dedicated compartments: the High voltage compartment, equipped with state-of-the-art high/medium voltage switchgear like ring main units and gas-insulated switchgear, supporting a rated voltage of up to 40.5kV; the low voltage compartment; and the transformer compartment, which houses either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer.
