This versatile substation facilitates the transformation, distribution, transmission, measurement, compensation of electrical energy, system control, and protection, alongside communication functions. Typically, the substation consists of three main compartments: a High Voltage Compartment (equipped with high/medium voltage switchgear like the ring main unit and gas-insulated switchgear, with a rated voltage reaching up to 40.5kV maximum), a Low Voltage Compartment, and a Transformer Compartment (featuring either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer).
