The substation typically houses three distinct compartments: the High Voltage Compartment (equipped with high/medium voltage switchgear like the ring main unit or gas-insulated switchgear, with a rated voltage reaching up to an impressive 40.5kV maximum), the Low Voltage Compartment, and the Transformer Compartment (featuring either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer).
