The Prefabricated Substation, also known as the European type transformer substation,
is ingeniously designed to perform the transformation, distribution, transmission, measurement, and compensation of electrical energy, while also offering system control and protection features along with communication functionalities. This substation typically includes three integral compartments: the High Voltage Compartment (equipped with advanced high/medium voltage switchgear, including ring main units and gas-insulated switchgear with rated voltage capabilities reaching an impressive maximum of 40.5kV), the Low Voltage Compartment, and the Transformer Compartment (housing either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer).


This substation is an essential and pivotal power distribution unit within the electrical cable power network. It represents a comprehensive set of power supply solutions featuring H.V. control, protection, conversion, and distribution capabilities.
