Typically, these substations are engineered into three primary compartments: the High Voltage Compartment, which houses advanced high/medium voltage switchgear including ring main units and gas-insulated switchgear with rated voltages reaching up to 40.5kV; the Low Voltage Compartment; and the Transformer Compartment, which can feature either high-performance three-phase oil-immersed transformers or cast resin dry-type transformers.
