these substations proficiently handle the full spectrum of electrical functions including transformation, distribution, transmission, measurement, and compensation of electrical energy. They also excel in system control, protection, and communication. Typically, the substation encompasses three distinct compartments: the High Voltage Compartment, armed with high/medium voltage switchgear like the ring main unit or gas-insulated switchgear, with a rated voltage reaching up to an impressive 40.5kv. The Low Voltage Compartment and the Transformer Compartment, fitted with either a three-phase oil-immersed transformer or a cast resin dry type transformer, complete this sophisticated setup.
